  Had the worst experience for the very first time I tried to use the insurance associated with Quantum Health. They refused to allow a partial knee replacement because Aetna (the insurance company) considered this to be an experimental/investigational procedure, which it is not, as it is preformed all over the country for several years now, and it does not meet their criteria. They would prefer that I get a total knee replacement which would include a replacement of a part of my knee that does not need it and it is more painful and has a longer incision/scar and longer recovery time. I was first informed of this by a Care Coordinator (Travis Butcher, RN) who let me know this was not covered for the reasons stated above. However, he could not explain what their criteria is, he just repeated that "it is not covered, it is experimental, sorry to ruin your day and have a good rest of the day" and hung up. I was transferred to him again while trying to get more information and he could not/would not explain what their criteria was no matter how many times I asked him to stop and listen and explain. I was getting very frustrated and his answer was to tell me he was going to hang up on me. So I told him he was the same rude person whom I talked to the first time and I hung up on him. I don't see this as good customer service or helpful in any way. This is the worst insurance company we have ever had. This whole experience was a nightmare.........enough to try and find employment hoping for better coverage of medical procedures. There were 2 other care coordinators that tried to help....to no avail.
